Ukraine is seeking to include its European allies in talks between Kiev and Washington over US President Donald Trump's peace proposals, The Guardian reported, citing its sources.

„Volodymyr Zelensky may meet with Donald Trump at the White House later this week, sources say, amid a series of phone calls between Kiev and Washington. Ukraine is seeking European participation in these negotiations,“ the article says.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has already announced that a “coalition of the willing“ supporting Ukraine will discuss peace proposals to end the conflict during a video call scheduled for November 25.

Meanwhile, the newspaper's sources claim that Ukraine has managed to significantly amend the US peace plan to end the conflict, removing the most unacceptable demands and reducing the document from the original 28 to 19 points.

At the same time, the “Financial Times“ reported that some members of Volodymyr Zelensky's inner circle are against his possible trip to the US in order to avoid “a new escalation” in relations with Trump.

On November 23, the United States and Ukraine held consultations in Geneva on Washington's peace plan. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the meeting "the most productive" of the conflict. Politico later quoted a source as saying that the talks were tense. The Ukrainian side insisted on changes to the plan. According to RBC-Ukraine, the US and Ukrainian delegations agreed to most of the plan proposed by Washington, but several points remained open for discussion at a meeting between Zelensky and Trump. The date of this meeting has not yet been set.
