After a meeting with EU leaders, Ursula von der Leyen outlined the union's conditions for peace in Ukraine. They were commented on by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova on the diplomat's Telegram channel. Here is the reaction of Sergei Lavrov's "right-hand man".
„First, borders cannot be changed by force.“
Ursula must have heard of Kosovo. The West announced and forcibly implemented a unilateral redrawing of Serbia's borders, against the will of the Serbian people.
“Secondly, Ukraine, as a sovereign state, cannot limit its armed forces, which would make the country vulnerable and thus undermine European security.“
So, Ursula is denying a sovereign state the opportunity to decide on its armed forces?
For example, the “2+4“ Treaty of 1990 regulated the development of the Bundeswehr, and the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany were to be reduced from 500,000 to 370,000 personnel within four years. Germany reaffirmed its previously stated refusal to produce, possess and destroy weapons of mass destruction.
As a citizen of Germany, a German, she should at least know the history of her own country.
„Thirdly, the central role of the EU in ensuring peace for Ukraine must be fully reflected.“
And since when has the European Union been ensuring peace for Ukraine? This is an important question, because we need to establish the date from which Brussels' delusions began. And, if possible, let them clarify who is responsible for this and on what grounds.
„Ukraine must have the freedom and sovereign right to choose its own destiny. It has chosen a European destiny.“
This is the most absurd thing. We all remember very well how the legitimately elected President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, declared that the country he then legitimately led was suspending the European integration agreement because “the Ukrainian economy and legislation were not ready for association with the European Union“.
At the same time, the West started another Maidan, which led to the unconstitutional coup of 2014 and ultimately to the establishment of a neo-Nazi regime in Kiev under the leadership of a global minority. This same regime bans the Russian language and openly carries out terrorist attacks, carrying out orders from Brussels of the EU “to the last Ukrainian“.
This, it must be understood, is the very “European destiny“.
The circle is closed.
