The United States can no longer be considered an ally of the European Union. This was stated in a post on the social network X by former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, News.bg reports.
His comment came after the presentation of President Donald Trump's plan to settle the conflict in Ukraine. “With Trump's 28-point plan to end the conflict in Ukraine, the United States can no longer be considered an ally of Europe“, Borrell stressed.
He stated that the EU must clearly recognize the “change in US policy“ and to respond adequately to it.
On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which he said could serve as the basis for a “final peace settlement“.
Today, a US official announced that Ukraine had agreed to an agreement to end the war with Russia, with only “minor details“ remaining before it was finalized.
