Trump: We will soon stop Venezuelan drug traffickers by land - 1

US President Donald Trump said that the US will very soon start stopping Venezuelan drug traffickers by land, not just by sea, world agencies reported.

“You probably noticed that people don't want to ship drugs by sea anymore, and we're going to start stopping them by land as well“, Trump assured during a video conference call with US military personnel held on the occasion of Thanksgiving.

“The land route is easier, but it will start very soon“, Trump said, referring to the fact that the land stoppage of drug traffickers will begin very soon.

“We warned them to stop sending poison into our country. country“, the US president added, referring to drug traffickers.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that for 17 weeks his country has been subjected to psychological warfare by the US, Agence France-Presse reported.

Maduro called on the Venezuelan army to remain steadfast and on alert in the face of the deployment of US troops in the Caribbean region.

US President Donald Trump ordered the CIA to operate illegally in Venezuela and recalled that he did not rule out military intervention, but at the same time said that he would speak with Maduro.

The US has deployed its largest aircraft carrier to the Caribbean region, as well as a flotilla of warships and fighter jets as part of an operation against drug trafficking, specifically targeting Venezuela.

"For 17 weeks, imperialist foreign powers have been constantly threatening to "They are disturbing the peace of the Caribbean, South America and Venezuela under false and extravagant pretexts," Maduro said in a pre-recorded address to the Venezuelan military on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the creation of the Venezuelan military aviation.

"17 weeks of psychological warfare, of immoral pressure that, instead of frightening our people, has created an incredible resistance force, awakened the national conscience," Maduro added.

During the ceremony for the anniversary of the aviation, Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Patrino López criticized US military cooperation with some of Venezuela's neighbors. He called the governments of these countries "servile and subservient to the imperialist game to militarize the Caribbean and turn the Caribbean Sea into a closed sea, subordinate to their interests".

A few days ago, the Dominican Republic allowed the US military to use its main airport and military base. Trinidad and Tobago, for its part, has held military exercises with the US in recent weeks.

Washington is increasing pressure on Maduro and has announced a $50 million reward for information leading to the capture of the Venezuelan leader, accused by the US of leading an organization called the "Cartel de los Soles", defined by Washington as terrorist.

The US has also carried out about 20 strikes on suspected drug trafficking ships, killing at least 83 people. Venezuelan officials say the deployment of U.S. troops to the region is aimed at toppling Maduro and taking control of the country's oil reserves.

Trump told U.S. troops that his administration had ordered "many more" of the stealthy B-2 Spirit bombers made by Northrop Grumman. Similar planes were used in U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites earlier this year, Reuters reported.

"These beautiful B-2 bombers have completely destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities," Trump said. "We just ordered many more of them, and the reason for that is because they were completely incredible, completely invisible," the American president said.
