Flooding in Morocco claims 21 lives VIDEO

21 people died and over 30 were injured in floods in the Moroccan province of Safi, on the Atlantic coast.

The one-hour torrential rain flooded houses and shops in the old part of the city of the same name, swept away cars and cut off roads in the area. Rescue efforts continue.

Morocco has been hit by torrential rains and snowfall in the Atlas Mountains region after a seven-year drought.
