Ukraine will produce combat drones in industrial quantities in Germany, Ukrainian drone manufacturer "Frontline Robotics" (Frontline Robotics) and German arms company "Quantum Systems" (Quantum Systems) announced today, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The production will be carried out by order of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the two companies announced today at the German-Ukrainian economic forum in Berlin.
Matthias Lena, head of the joint venture "Quantum Frontline Industries" (Quantum Frontline Industries) indicated that tens of thousands of drones will be produced per year. The company stressed that the project represents "the first fully automated production line for drones for the Ukrainian armed forces on an industrial scale."
The battlefield-tested logistics drone "Linza", the reconnaissance drone "Zoom" and the remotely controlled machine gun and grenade launcher "Burya" will be manufactured in German factories. The cooperation is part of the Ukrainian government's "Building with Ukraine" initiative.
Kiev is trying to redirect some of its arms production to safe European countries to avoid disruptions caused by Russian attacks, DPA said.
