The US military has destroyed three drug-smuggling boats in international waters in the Pacific, the Pentagon said in X.
Eight people on board were killed.
“Intelligence has confirmed that the boats were following known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and were carrying drugs. A total of eight male narco-terrorists were killed during these operations“, the military said.
According to CNN, the US military has destroyed more than 20 boats off the coast of Latin America in recent months under the pretext of combating drug smuggling, killing an estimated 90 people.
