Long-range drones! Ukraine's Security Service hits third Russian oil rig - 1

Long-range drones operated by the "Alpha" special unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have hit a third Russian oil rig in the Caspian Sea in recent weeks, Ukrinform reported, citing an SBU source. The platform is owned by the company "Lukoil", writes BTA.

This time the strike was directed against a drilling platform in the "Rakushechno" field.

"The drone's camera captured a successful hit in the area of the platform block, where the gas turbine is located," the source said.

Earlier, SBU drones hit ice-resistant oil platforms in the "Filanovsky" and "Korchagin" fields in the Caspian Sea, which led to the suspension of production processes there.

"The SBU continues to systematically reduce oil revenues that go to the Russian budget. "All facilities that provide funding for the aggression against Ukraine are completely legitimate targets," a source from the SBU said.

Earlier today, the SBU for the first time hit a tanker from the Russian "shadow fleet" in neutral waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

So far, there has been no comment from the Russian side and the allegations cannot be independently verified, but this morning the Ministry of Defense reported, quoted by TASS, that 7 drones had been shot down over the Caspian Sea.
