Russia launched a massive attack on Odessa. Ukraine: The shelling does not stop, there are deaths - 1

"At night, the enemy launched a ballistic strike on the port of Odessa. At the moment, the number of deaths, unfortunately, has increased to eight, and 30 people have been injured. The shelling does not stop. The enemy is purposefully destroying the logistical infrastructure of the Odessa region and terrorizing the civilian population, the goal is to cut off the connection with southern Ukraine. Despite the constant strikes, the region continues to eliminate the consequences of the massive attacks," Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba announced on his Telegram channel.

After eight in the morning, another attack was registered against the port in Yuzhny, there were hits on tanks, Kuleba said. All necessary services are working on the ground - medical, rescue, pyrotechnic and emergency teams.

Despite the constant air alarms and risks, port workers continue to work, maintaining the continuity of maritime logistics, the Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to him, in parallel, work continues to ensure logistics after the attack on the bridge in the village of Mayaki. The key is for the residents of the Odessa region to have communication and access to all necessary goods and services.

Travel for emergency services, food cargo, postal carriers and other urgent transport is provided.

"Ukrposhta" delivers parcels, pensions and social payments in a timely manner. At the moment, alternative transport routes are operating, which ensure both border logistics and the region's connection with other regions. All checkpoints are working, no significant transport queues have been registered, reports Oleksiy Kuleba.

In order not to interrupt passenger traffic, the Ukrainian railways "Ukrzaliznytsia" has provided additional wagons to Chisinau from Odessa and Kiev, tickets are already on sale.

"We are constantly monitoring the situation. "Ukrzaliznytsia", the Recovery Agency, as well as international partners are involved in the work to eliminate the consequences. We are communicating with representatives of industry and business, everyone is ready to assist the government's work," says the Deputy Prime Minister.

The humanitarian situation in the region remains stable, Kuleba points out.

More than 37 thousand subscribers in Odessa and the Odessa region are still without electricity. The residents of the region are provided with heating and water.

The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the latest official census in Ukraine. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
