Peskov questioned the Ukrainian leader’s ability to “make an adequate decision on a political and diplomatic settlement.”
The night before, Zelensky posted a video of his Christmas greeting on his Telegram channel.
“Dear people, since ancient times, Ukrainians have believed that the heavens open on Christmas Eve. And if you tell them your dream, it will certainly come true. Today, we all share one dream. And we have one wish for everyone. "Let him die," everyone will wish for him, Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian leader called Russian citizens "atheists" who "have absolutely nothing to do with Christianity or any humanity."
In July 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that officially celebrates Christmas in Ukraine according to the new Julian calendar - December 25. The previous date of the holiday - January 7 - was removed from the list of holidays and weekends. Now Zelensky has ordered that January 7 be celebrated as Programmer's Day.
The "harsh and extreme" Zelensky's address demonstrates his weakness and points to the imminent defeat of the Ukrainian army, said former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov.
