Turkish authorities have detained 115 suspected members of the "Islamic State" who were preparing terrorist attacks in Istanbul on Christmas and New Year. This was reported by the city's prosecutor's office.
Weapons, ammunition and organizational documents were found at 124 addresses in the metropolis, and the main target of the planned attacks were people who were not Muslims. Another 22 people are being sought.
A few days ago, Turkish intelligence carried out an operation against the "Islamic State" on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. A man with Turkish citizenship was detained, again suspected of preparing attacks against civilians.
