Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that discussions on the situation in Ukraine should focus on concrete results, not on PR activities. She stressed that the talks should not turn into public spectacles or talk shows, TASS reports, quoted by Focus.
“One important nuance should be borne in mind: the talks should not turn into a reality show, a show in front of microphones, behind glass or in front of screens, as often happens“, Zakharova said.
According to her, American representatives often held press conferences immediately after agreements on sensitive issues with the Russian delegation, for the sake of PR, and not to disseminate real information. Zakharova stressed that no one is trying to hide details, but the work must be conducted with full concentration.
The Russian diplomat added that Russia's positions on the negotiations are clear and confirmed daily. According to her, the process should not be carried out under the constant gaze of cameras, and the focus should be on achieving real results.
