Several people, including three children, were injured on Sunday in a nine-car collision on a highway in central Germany, DPA reported, quoted by dariknews.bg, citing local police.
The cars crashed when drivers suddenly applied their brakes due to fog enveloping the A7 highway near the town of Rossdorf, about 100 kilometers south of Hanover, with visibility further hampered by the setting sun.
An adult and a child were seriously injured, police said.
The highway is temporarily closed as eight of the cars had to be towed.
Total damage is estimated at more than 150,000. euro.
