The DPRK conducted long-range cruise missile firing exercises.
They were visited by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, wrote the Central News Agency.
"On December 28, long-range strategic cruise missile firing exercises were held in the West Korean Ocean (Yellow Sea - ed. note)," the agency said in a statement.
The missiles hit the target precisely, flying along a specific trajectory over the Yellow Sea.
The North Korean leader, who observed the tests, "expressed great satisfaction" from the results of the exercises.
Kim Jong-un stated that the exercises demonstrated "absolute reliability (...) of the DPRK's ability to deliver a strategic counterstrike."
"Kim Jong-un assured that our party and the government of the Republic will continue to make every effort to endlessly and continuously strengthen and develop the country's nuclear combat forces," the Central Military Commission wrote.
