China intends to strengthen its ability to counter sanctions, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday.
“With unwavering determination, we will continuously strengthen and improve our ability to counter sanctions, interference and extraterritorial jurisdiction, providing a more reliable mechanism to effectively protect the interests of the state and people,“ Wang said at a conference on the international situation and Chinese diplomacy in 2025.
He added that China will continue to uphold its principled position, resolutely safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, and oppose any attempts to split the country.
