Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his American counterpart Donald Trump on the upcoming New Year. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
Earlier, the Russian head of state sent a Christmas greeting to the American leader, and then the two heads of state personally exchanged warm Christmas and New Year greetings during a telephone conversation on December 28.
As noted by the aide to the Russian president, Yuri Ushakov, Putin and Trump wished happiness to the peoples of Russia and the United States.
