Bloomberg: Ukraine reports record number of strikes on Russian energy facilities - 1

Ukraine's strikes on Russian energy facilities have reached a monthly record, UNIAN reported.

Kiev has stepped up its attacks in December, hitting the largest number of facilities and the widest range of targets since the start of the war against Russia.

According to data compiled by Bloomberg, at least 24 attacks have been carried out on Russian oil refineries, oil tankers and other offshore facilities, as well as key pipeline infrastructure.

Kiev has particularly stepped up attacks on maritime infrastructure, including repeated attacks on Lukoil's oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea. The Black Sea ports of Taman and Rostov were also hit during the month, causing fires on several tankers, and attacks on the Russian "shadow fleet" continued.

“Russian authorities expect oil and gas revenues to fall to 23% of budget revenues next year, which is a record low“, the statement said.

Earlier, Ukrainian armed forces struck the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in the Rostov region. Storm Shadow air-to-air cruise missiles were used in the strike. The Novoshakhtinsk refinery is one of the largest suppliers of oil products in southern Russia and is involved in supplying Russian occupation forces.

On December 25, long-range drones struck oil tanks in the seaport of Temryuk, located in Russia's Krasnodar Territory.
