Border police ships and helicopters are searching for missing migrants in the Aegean Sea.
One of the victims is a minor boy, rescuers say. Four more people are missing.
Volunteers with yachts and military divers have joined the operation. It is believed that about 80 people were on board the boat.
It is not known how many people are being searched for, the coast guard said, because the passengers on the boat are giving contradictory information.
The boat is trying to dock at the island of Ikaria in the Aegean Sea, but it crashes on rocks.
Most of the passengers have fallen into the sea.

Several of the rescued migrants are in hospital, but their lives are not in danger.
