President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today that the Ukrainian negotiating team is preparing for the next round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia this week. The head of state announced this on Facebook after the report of the Ukrainian delegation that participated in the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi, Ukrinform reports.
"The report of our delegation after the negotiations in the Emirates with the American and Russian sides. This was the first format of a trilateral dialogue on ending the war in a long time. The meetings discussed a number of important issues, primarily military, that are necessary to end the war. We also talked about complex political issues that have not yet been resolved,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the parameters for ending the war were discussed at the meetings in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24. The military also set a list of issues for further meetings.
“I have set the framework for further diplomatic work. We are preparing for new trilateral meetings this week,” the head of state concluded.
The next round of trilateral talks involving the United States, Ukraine and Russia is scheduled for February 1.
