Iran is working on a proposal for an agreement for the peaceful use of nuclear energy, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with RT.
“I have already instructed my team to work on a feasible plan or proposal that can ensure that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, while guaranteeing Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear technology,“ he said.
Earlier, Iranian Vice President Mohammad Eslami said that Tehran would reduce its uranium enrichment levels if the US lifted all sanctions against the country.
On February 6, Iran and the US held talks on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program in the capital of Oman. The meeting was the first after a long pause due to the escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025. At that time, the Islamic Republic and the United States had held five rounds of consultations.
