Ukraine today adopted a package of sanctions against Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in the communication application "Telegram", BTA reported.
We are increasingly actively countering all forms of cooperation that Lukashenko provides for the murder of Ukrainians, Zelensky also said.
In the second half of last year, the Russians deployed a system of repeaters for controlling strike drones on the territory of Belarus, which increased the capabilities of the Russian army to strike at our northern regions, the Ukrainian head of state pointed out.
Some of the strikes, in particular - at energy facilities and railway lines in our regions, the Russians could not have carried out without this cooperation of Belarus. More than three thousand enterprises in Belarus serve the Russian war and supply critical equipment, equipment and components. These are also components for the production of missiles that terrorize our cities and villages, Zelensky said. The development of the infrastructure for the deployment of medium-range missiles "Oreshnik" on the territory of Belarus also continues, the Ukrainian leader noted.
Alexander Lukashenko has long been exchanging the sovereignty of Belarus for the extension of his own power, helping the Russians circumvent sanctions for aggression against Ukraine, actively justifying the Russian war, and now he is increasing his own participation in the escalation and prolongation of the war. This will have special consequences, Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
