The head of the US Southern Command, Francis Donovan, visited Caracas, where he met with local authorities.
„He met with the interim authorities to discuss the security situation and ensure the implementation of the US President's three-phase plan for Venezuela, as well as to promote Venezuela's orientation towards the United States“, the command reported in X.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington is considering three stages of action regarding Venezuela.
The first is to achieve stability in the country.
The second is its reconstruction and allowing American and Western companies to have access to the country's markets.
The third is the transition to a new government.
