Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif announced that Islamabad was declaring “open war“ on the Taliban government in Afghanistan.

“Now we will have an open war with you. It will be a bloody war. The Pakistani army did not come from across the sea. We are your neighbors, we know your times“, he wrote in an email.

The minister accused the Taliban government of “turning Afghanistan into an Indian colony“, gathering “terrorists from all over the world and exporting terrorism“ and “becoming puppets of India“.

On February 26, Afghan forces launched operations against Pakistan along the Durand Line – in Khost, Paktia, Nuristan and several other areas – in response to Pakistani attacks. There are casualties on both sides.

Powerful explosions rocked the Afghan capital Kabul, Al Jazeera reported. The explosion was followed by intense gunfire, the report said.

Residents of Kabul reported the sound of aircraft and powerful explosions in different parts of the city, Tolo News reported in X. There is no information about possible casualties or damage at this time.
