North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his 13-year-old daughter Kim Ju-e attended a military parade in identical outfits, NBC reported.
The two were wearing identical leather jackets. On the same day, the country's leader appointed Kim Ju-e as head of North Korea's missile program.
According to reports, the North Korean leader's daughter is in charge of military production, receives reports from the military and issues orders.
According to South Korean intelligence sources, Kim Ju-e's appointment can be seen as preparation for a future political or military career.
On February 26, the DPRK leader, along with members of the Ninth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the bodies of former leaders Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il are buried.
The party's general secretary and his entourage bowed to the statues of the leaders in the mausoleum and laid a basket of flowers on behalf of the Party Central Committee.
„Members of the Party's Central Committee strengthened their iron will to unite firmly and unanimously around Comrade Kim Jong-un and fulfill their important duties on the responsible path for the brilliant implementation of our party's wartime program," KCNA wrote.
On the same day, Kim Jong-un posed for a commemorative photo with participants in the 9th WPK Congress against the backdrop of the "April 25" Palace of Culture, where the event was held from February 19 to 25. The DPRK leader welcomed the delegates and observers, expressing confidence that they would all play a vanguard role in fulfilling the important political tasks outlined at the party congress in the struggle for the prosperity of Korea and the well-being of the people.
The participants in the photo session “took a solemn oath to support with absolute loyalty the ideas and leadership of the Party Central Committee and to honorably fulfill their revolutionary duty as the backbone of the party in the glorious struggle to implement the resolution of the 9th Party Congress“.
A grand reception in honor of the congress of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in Pyongyang that same evening. It was attended by members of the 9th Central Leading Body of the Party, including members of the Presidium of the Politburo of the WPK Central Committee Pak Tae Song, Cho Yong Won, Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, as well as delegates.
