Seven people were injured last night on a road in the Jerusalem area during Iranian missile attack, the national rescue service said in a statement, AFP reported.

“So far, seven injured people of varying degrees of severity have been evacuated to receive medical attention“, the statement said. The number was also confirmed by two hospitals in the city.

Around 20:40 GMT, AFP journalists saw several explosions in the sky over Jerusalem, sounding like missiles intercepted by Israeli air defenses.

Israeli television stations broadcast footage showing police and emergency services deployed in areas where there was visible damage. In the Jerusalem area, the footage showed a road strewn with various debris, including rocks.

Military censorship prohibits the media from revealing the exact location of the affected areas, AFP reported.

“Jerusalem district police are conducting searches throughout the district following reports of shells falling in several places“, the police added in a statement.

Iranian media reported that a hospital in the Iranian capital Tehran was hit in airstrikes, Agence France-Presse and Reuters reported.

“Gandhi“ hospital was targeted in the Zionist-American airstrikes“, the Iranian news agency ISNA reported. Iranian media outlets FARS and Mizan published a video they claimed was shot inside the hospital. It showed debris on the floor among wheelchairs.
