The Kremlin is disappointed that despite the declared progress in the negotiations between Iran and the US, the situation is degrading to aggression. This was stated at a press conference by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by TASS, BTA reported.

"As for the negotiations that were held with the mediation of Oman between the US and Iran, of course, we can express deep disappointment in connection with the fact that, against the background of the incoming information about significant progress in these talks, the situation nevertheless degraded to direct aggression", the spokesman pointed out.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has international telephone conversations planned for today about the situation around Iran, Peskov said.

"I think that we will share information about at least one of them by mid-day, once it takes place, but I will not announce it now. This is, of course, related to the situation around Iran," Peskov said.

Russia is analyzing the developments following the US-Iranian talks and drawing the appropriate conclusions, the spokesman said, adding that Moscow is continuing the negotiation process on Ukraine in a manner that meets its interests.

"We are certainly analyzing the situation and drawing the appropriate conclusions," Peskov said, adding: "However, we are continuing the work that meets our interests.".

Washington and Tehran have been holding lengthy talks on Iran's nuclear program in Geneva, where talks on resolving the conflict in Ukraine are also underway, TASS said. Despite the announcement of progress in the talks with Iran, the US and Israel launched an attack on the Islamic Republic, TASS noted.
