The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps - the elite unit of the Iranian army - attacked a US airbase in Bahrain using missiles and drones.
“Today at dawn, the corps launched a massive strike with drones and missiles on a US base in the Sheikh Issa area of Bahrain“, said a statement quoted by Iranian state television. It said that 20 armed drones and three ballistic missiles were used in the attack on the US military site.
According to the Iranian side, the attack “destroyed the airbase’s command building and burned fuel tanks“.
