Mossad has penetrated the vast network of traffic cameras in Tehran to track the bodyguards of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials. Israel has used AI tools and algorithms it has developed to sort through the vast amount of data it has collected about the Iranian leadership and its daily habits.
This was revealed by the "Financial Times" (FT), citing two people who wished to remain anonymous, wrote news.bg.
Through the traffic control cameras in Tehran, Israeli intelligence compiled files with the addresses of the guards, their work schedules and the individuals who were assigned to guard both the former Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior regime officials.
The Mossad and the CIA had solid information that senior officials of the ayatollahs' regime were on their way to the fatal meeting at which Ali Khamenei was killed. The CIA also had a person from the regime's close circle who provided additional information before the fatal air strike.
It is believed that the traffic control cameras in Iran are part of the state surveillance apparatus, which allows them to identify and persecute protesters and opponents of the regime.
But the Mossad managed to use them against the rulers in Tehran.
