The US military has deployed the B-52 long-range strategic bomber in its military operations in Iran.
This was announced by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), quoted by Reuters and BTA.
CENTCOM announced that this began in the first 48 to 72 hours after the start of Operation “Epic Fury” on Saturday.
The B-52 bombers can carry bombs to destroy bunkers, Reuters noted.
The US Central Command also said that in 72 hours, US forces had attacked more than 1,700 targets in Iran.
More than 50,000 US troops, 200 fighter jets and two aircraft carriers are involved in the operation against Iran, and the US has struck 2,000 targets in Iran since the start of the operation, CENTCOM added.
The US and Israel have struck targets belonging to pro-Iranian Shiite militias in Iraq, Tasnim reported.
Saudi Arabia is ready to take all measures to ensure the country's security, according to a statement from the Saudi government.
