US President Donald Trump said that the US will remember the UK's decision to send aircraft carriers to the Middle East after the US military has already defeated Iran.
He expressed the opinion that the United States should be involved in the process of selecting a new Iranian leadership to avoid the need to launch a new military campaign in five years.
Trump said that at the end of the military campaign in Iran, there may be no one left in the country's top leadership who can declare surrender.
He added that his administration does not currently plan to send ground forces to Iran, but indicated that this could happen in the future.
The US president claims that Iran is responsible for the attack on an elementary school for girls in the south of the country and said that Iran wants a peaceful resolution to the the conflict, but the US no longer needs it.
