Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who is arrested in the United States, sent a prayer and message of faith to his homeland.
This was announced on Instagram by his son, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, a member of the National Assembly (parliament) of Venezuela.
„Jesus taught us that if you have faith and do not doubt, you will even say to this mountain: „Be lifted up and thrown into the sea“ and it will be so. Give us this sincere and universal faith to move the mountains of difficulties that sometimes hinder us and turn them into a clear path for our homeland“, the president wrote, leaving his signature, said Maduro Guerra.
On January 3, the United States attacked civilian and military targets in Venezuela, capturing and taking President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores to the United States.
On January 5, they appeared in federal court in the Southern District of New York. They are accused of drug trafficking. Maduro and his wife pleaded not guilty.
Delcy Rodríguez, the former executive vice president of the republic under Maduro, is the acting head of state of Venezuela.
