A military base in Jordan used by German soldiers was again attacked with rockets, the German armed forces said, quoted by DPA, BTA reports.
A military spokesman said that the German part of the "Al Azraq" base was hit amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. "An investigation is currently underway to determine whether it was debris or a rocket," he added.
The spokesman also said that German soldiers were safe in fortified structures on site. He did not give details about the origin of the attack.
According to the Defense Ministry in Berlin, more than 500 German soldiers are deployed in the Middle East. About 200 soldiers are deployed in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon as part of multinational units. German soldiers are also at bases in Kuwait and Qatar.
