Foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries will meet in Riyadh on March 18 to discuss the situation in the region, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.
“The countries plan to discuss coordinating their actions to ensure security in the Middle East“, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Details have not yet been provided on which specific countries will participate in the consultations.
An Iranian missile has caused a fire at an air base in the United Arab Emirates that houses Australian air force personnel, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
According to him, the strike affected the road leading to the base. “I can confirm that there were no injuries to Australian personnel and everyone is currently safe. A small fire caused by the strike caused minor damage to the accommodation block and the medical facility on the base,“ Albanese said.
