A Qatari armed forces helicopter crashed into the sea off the coast of the emirate due to a technical malfunction, the Ministry of defense.
“A military helicopter crashed in Qatari territorial waters while carrying out a routine mission. A technical malfunction was the cause of the crash“, the emirate's defense ministry said in a press release.
The military added that “a search is underway for the helicopter's crew and passengers“.
