Ukrainian attack hits oil terminal at Primorsk port near St. Petersburg, fire breaks out  - 1

An oil terminal has been hit in the port of Primorsk in the Leningrad region as a result of a drone attack. A fire broke out, which is being extinguished, Governor Alexander Drozdenko said on Telegram.

The port staff has been evacuated, the regional governor said. He added that 35 drones have been destroyed since the drone attack began in the region.

“Combat operations to repel the attack continue,“ he said.

At 4:24 a.m. Bulgarian time, Drozdenko reported that more than 50 drones have been destroyed in the skies over the Leningrad Region since the attack began.

The drone attack damaged the windows of three apartments near the village of Izora in the Gatchinsky District, the governor said earlier.

A threat of a drone attack was announced in St. Petersburg on the night of March 23. Pulkovo Airport is currently not accepting or operating flights. The restrictions were imposed for flight safety, Rosaviatsia said.
