US President Donald Trump said that at Tehran's request he had ordered a halt to strikes on Iranian energy facilities until April 6.

„At the request of the Iranian government, I hereby announce that I am halting the destruction of energy facilities for ten days, until Monday, April 6, 2026, 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (2:00 a.m. Bulgarian time). "Negotiations are ongoing and, contrary to the false claims of the fake news media and others, are going very well," he wrote on Truth Social.

On Sunday, Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran, threatening to destroy all Iranian power plants unless Tehran fully opens the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. Iran, for its part, threatened retaliatory strikes against all companies in the Middle East where the United States has interests, as well as against energy infrastructure in countries where American bases are located.

The Iranian army has carried out strikes on strategic Israeli targets, including fuel and naval facilities in Haifa, Press TV reported.

“The Iranian army has carried out new drone strikes against several important and strategic targets of the Israeli regime in the occupied territories, including naval and fuel facilities in Haifa“, a post on its Telegram channel said.

Israel's Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, warned of the risk of the army's collapse, according to the Jerusalem Post.

“If a solution to the manpower shortage is not found, the Israeli army could soon collapse, warned the Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, in his speech at a security cabinet meeting,“ the article says.
