Part of an Iranian missile fell on a residential complex in the Tel Aviv area, where the Russian news agency TASS's office in Israel is located.
This happened around midnight local time after another attack on the central part of the country, an agency correspondent reported.
The missile with cluster munitions was fired from Iran, and part of it hit one of the buildings in the complex where TASS correspondents live. A loud explosion was heard. The building's cladding was damaged, several windows were broken.
Police and rescue workers inspected the scene of the incident. No injuries were reported. Witnesses said the apartment owners were not at the scene at the time of the attack.
A total of one person was killed and two others were injured in Tel Aviv and the surrounding area after rocket fire hit central Israel, Israel's National Ambulance Service said.
“Following a rocket attack in central Israel, medics confirmed the death of a 60-year-old man in Tel Aviv and treated two injured people in another area,“ the statement said.
