Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have denied a visit to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his tour of the Middle East, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported on the social network X.

“Zelensky visited several Gulf countries in the past two days to strengthen cooperation in the fight against Iran. The only country that did not invite him is Israel“, he wrote.

According to the journalist, Netanyahu requested a conversation with Zelensky two weeks ago, but the conversation never took place.

Before that, the Ukrainian president visited Abu Dhabi, where he met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The countries agreed to cooperate in the field of security and defense.

Two days earlier, Zelensky visited Saudi Arabia. Ukraine and the kingdom signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of defense.

Zelensky's visits to the Middle East began after the United States asked Ukraine to help protect military bases in the region from Iranian attacks.

According to the president, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait have also contacted Kiev.
