The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has designated Israeli and American universities in the Middle East as legitimate targets after the attack on a university in Tehran, Press TV reports.
“Following the US-Israeli strike on the Tehran University of Science and Technology, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warns that all American and Israeli universities in the region are legitimate targets“, said a post on Telegram by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Iran has moved from compromise to issuing ultimatums to the US, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said on social media.
“Tehran's conditions are unwavering: the US must to “remove all their bases from the region“ and pay reparations for past damages. It is no longer about Iranian nuclear facilities; Iran seeks to become “the only state capable of guaranteeing security and unimpeded passage through the Strait of Hormuz“. As the conflict in the Middle East reaches a boiling point, Washington will have to choose between a complete withdrawal of troops and an escalation to an insurmountable war with Iran“, he said.
According to the expert, Washington is faced with a choice: end the pointless conflict now or take the path of escalation.
“It is too late to avoid all the consequences, but there is still a chance to prevent the most serious ones. Continuing the war could cost us dearly and cause us a lot of pain“, he concluded.
