At least six people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on two checkpoints of the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported, citing local medics.
They reported that a child was among the victims.
Israeli warplanes carried out the attack despite a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States more than five months ago, Reuters notes.
The strikes, which were carried out in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, killed three police officers and three civilians, including a girl. Four people were injured.
The Israeli military has not yet commented on the attack.
However, the strikes came amid reports that "Hamas" was regaining control of territory in Gaza.
More than 680 Palestinians have been killed in attacks carried out by Israel in the strip since the ceasefire came into effect, according to local health authorities. The total number of casualties in Gaza since the start of the war between the Jewish state and "Hamas", which began with the attack carried out by the Islamist movement on October 7, 2023, exceeds 72 thousand.
Israel is now at war, alongside the United States, against Iran and at the same time is conducting a new military campaign against the pro-Iranian Lebanese movement "Hezbollah", within the framework of which the Israeli armed forces invaded southern Lebanon, Reuters reports.
Israeli police dispersed an unauthorized protest in Tel Aviv against the war against Iran, Agence France-Presse reported.
Several hundred demonstrators gathered last night. Four of them were detained.
The initiators of the "Together" organization condemned the "violent dispersal" to the demonstrators and promised further protests.
Five people were detained during another unauthorized anti-war rally in the northern Israeli city of Haifa.
"We have been in a state of war for four weeks and no one knows what the goal is", Yoram, a 52-year-old tour guide who declined to give his last name, told AFP.
"No one has thought about how we will get out of this and there is no end in sight", said Joan Levin, 76, who has lived in Israel for 50 years. She expressed concern that the US under President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have put the world in a "very dangerous situation".
Since the start of the war, which began with an Israeli-American attack on Iran on February 28, small anti-war demonstrations have already taken place in Tel Aviv. However, Israeli public opinion largely supports the campaign against the Islamic Republic, opinion polls show, although the share of opponents has increased from 4% to 11.5%, according to the latest poll by the Israel Democracy Institute, published on Friday.
