UNIAN reports that Odessa was attacked in several waves. The alarm was sounded at around 00:15. Monitoring channels reported that "multiple drones were flying from the Black Sea towards Odessa at low altitude". Explosions and shooting soon erupted in the city.
Witnesses on social networks reported that one of the drones hit a residential area, completely destroying a house. Local Telegram channels posted a video showing a fire, and people were heard saying that the house was completely destroyed.
Later, the head of the Odessa city administration, Sergiy Lysak, confirmed the strike.
“The enemy is attacking the city with drones. A private house in one of the districts was hit. All information is being clarified. The air raid alert remains in effect. Stay in safe places until everything is cleared,“ the official stressed.
He later added that another residential building was also on fire as a result of the enemy attack, as well as the roof of a dormitory.
As of 1:45 a.m., the alert in Odessa was still active, with more drones flying from the sea.
The Russians also attacked Sumy. According to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, 14 residents of the city were injured as a result of enemy drone strikes on residential buildings. Among the injured is a 14-year-old boy who was provided with medical assistance on the spot. An 87-year-old woman was also hospitalized.
„Most of the injured are elderly people. The enemy deliberately attacks homes in residential areas“, the head of the Sumy regional military administration emphasized.
The strikes were carried out in the Poltava region. Vitaly Dyakivnych, head of the regional military administration, said that the Lubny district was attacked. As a result of the crash of an enemy drone, a shop and a cafe were damaged.
„Unfortunately, one person died. Another person was injured. "He is receiving all the necessary assistance," the official noted.
