The United States has agreed to a ceasefire with Iran out of "desperation" and "necessity" after "the major failure to achieve their goals," said Yemeni Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
"The existing ceasefire is the result of the United States and Israel being forced into it after failing to achieve their goals. The main goal of this aggression was described as overthrowing the Islamic system and dominating the Iranian people," Al-Houthi said.
"The war imposed huge economic costs on Washington and Tel Aviv, which led to rising inflation and financial tensions in world markets," he added, stressing that the US had lost "dozens of aircraft" and that its military operation in Isfahan had ended in "complete failure".
The Houthi leader had previously warned that the conflict in the Middle East could escalate further. His words signaled possible "surprise actions" regarding the ground development of the conflict.
