Israel and the United States suffered a “strategic defeat“ in the conflict with Iran, after failing to achieve their stated goals, said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament.
“Our opponents possess great resources, but nevertheless make strategically wrong decisions. "They failed to achieve any of their goals and suffered defeat on all fronts," Ghalibaf said in a televised address to the nation.

The Iranian parliament speaker also noted that he considered the claims of “destruction of enemy armies by the forces of the Islamic Republic“ for infidels.
Tehran, Ghalibaf stressed, understands that the military capabilities of Israel and the United States exceed its own and therefore views negotiations with Washington as “another means of struggle“.
