A man has died in a drone attack in Tuapse, a Russian city on the Black Sea coast that was attacked for the second time in less than a week, authorities said, quoted by TASS and Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.
The city has been subjected to a “new massive drone attack“, with “according to initial information, one man was killed“ at the port, said Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. Another person was injured, he said on Telegram.
The strike at the port caused a fire.
On April 16, authorities reported the deaths of a 14-year-old girl and a young woman in a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones in the same city.
Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has carried out regular strikes on Ukrainian territory, including on critical infrastructure. In response, Ukraine has struck targets inside Russia, saying it is targeting sites of military and energy importance to limit resources for Moscow's military operations.
