US military strikes another drug boat in Caribbean Sea - 1

The US military has launched another strike on a drug boat in the Caribbean Sea. Three people were killed in the strike, the Associated Press reports.

The Trump administration's campaign to destroy suspected drug trafficking ships in Latin American waters has been ongoing since early September. Attacks on drug boats have killed at least 181 people. The US is also carrying out similar strikes in the Pacific Ocean.

Despite the war with Iran, the series of strikes has intensified again in the past week. This shows that the administration's aggressive measures to stop narcoterrorism in the Western Hemisphere are not weakening. The military has yet to provide evidence that any of the ships were carrying drugs.

In the latest raid on April 19, the U.S. Southern Command reiterated previous claims that it was targeting suspected drug traffickers on known smuggling routes. It posted a video on X showing a boat moving through the water before the vessel burst into flames after a massive explosion.

President Donald Trump has said the United States is in an "armed conflict" with cartels in Latin America and has justified the attacks as a necessary escalation to stem the flow of drugs into the United States.
