Donald Trump: Iran has repeatedly violated the ceasefire - 1

US President Donald Trump said in a post on his social network "Truth Social" that "Iran has repeatedly violated the ceasefire", without giving further details, BTA reports.

The US and Iran have reached an agreement on a temporary ceasefire while they negotiate a comprehensive end to the war. Delegations from both sides recently met in Pakistan to discuss terms for ending the conflict, but ultimately failed to reach a peace agreement.

The truce between the US and Iran expires tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time (03:00 a.m. Thursday Bulgarian time).

The prospects for a new round of talks between Washington and Tehran remain uncertain. Iran's chief negotiator and speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the Islamic Republic would not negotiate under pressure, and Trump has been sending conflicting messages about the future course of the war with Iran, the Associated Press notes.

Trump indicated that he still expects to send his negotiating team, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, to the Pakistani capital Islamabad for new talks, although Iran insists it will not participate until the American leader softens his demands.

Trump said it was "highly unlikely" to renew the ceasefire before it ends tomorrow.
