The US Navy has intercepted at least three Iranian-flagged tankers in Asian waters in recent days, Reuters reported, citing two Western maritime security sources.
The tankers in question are the Deep Sea, Dorena and Sevin. According to Reuters, the first ship was partially loaded with oil, while the second was fully loaded. It was carrying 2 million barrels of oil.
The third tanker has a maximum capacity of 1 million barrels and was 65% full.
The US military may have also intercepted the Derya tanker, the agency said.
