US Prime Minister Donald Trump declared to reporters at the White House that he is keen on the idea of maintaining direct contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Discussing the possibility of inviting the Russian leader to the G-20 summit in the US in December, the US leader said that “he thinks it is important to talk to everyone“.
“I am not one of those people who says they will not talk to him because there is a war“, he noted.
“I like to talk to everyone, if you are an intelligent person, you can control your emotions and other things that need to be controlled. I am “for“ talks“, Trump stressed.
He added that the US “continues to work towards a resolution“ of the Ukrainian crisis.
