On the night of April 25, 2026, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukrainian territory using attack drones, ballistic and cruise missiles.
The attack involved Tu-95MS strategic bombers, which launched cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea region at around 02:30 local time. Ballistic missiles and a large number of "Shahed" drones were also used.
An air alert was declared in most regions of Ukraine. At 03:30 in the morning, an increased presence of drones in Ukrainian airspace was reported.
One of the main targets was the city of Dnipro, where explosions were recorded and air defense systems were activated.
A four-story building was damaged, there were injuries. An industrial facility was attacked. Oleksandr Ganja, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, reported several fires and damaged homes. “Preliminary data indicate that there are no victims,“ he wrote.
Transport infrastructure was damaged in Kharkiv, a public transport stop was destroyed. A gas pipeline was damaged.
Hits were also recorded in the Kiev district of the city, Mayor Terekhov reported.
Earlier, a Russian drone hit a residential building in the Saltovsky district of Kharkiv.
“An enemy drone hit a multi-storey building in the Saltovsky district. There are no casualties at the moment. We are investigating the details,“ Terekhov said.
This massive attack follows a series of heavy strikes in the previous days. Just a day earlier, on April 24, Russian drones hit residential buildings in Odessa, killing two people and wounding 14. On April 23, a similar attack in the Dnieper killed two people and injured eight.
