Three civilians were killed in a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the territory of the Luhansk region on the night of April 25.
Two others were injured in the attack in the village of Solontsy, Leonid Pasechnyk, head of the Luhansk People's Republic, unrecognized by Kiev, reported on his Max channel.
„Last night, a serious blow hit residential buildings in the village of Solontsy in the Troitsky district. "Unfortunately, three people were killed and two were injured," the regional leader wrote.
For the first time since the beginning of the conflict, regions located more than 1,700 km from the front line were attacked.
A Ukrainian drone hit a high-rise residential building in Yekaterinburg, Russia's fourth largest city. According to Governor Denis Pasler, six people were injured, but no one died. Video footage showed the heavily blackened facade and broken windows of a modern building.
Authorities reported a thwarted attack on a facility in the city of Chelyabinsk. However, local residents reported explosions in the area of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, one of the largest in the country.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation confirmed a series of targeted strikes against Russian military infrastructure:
A military facility in Tyotkino was hit in the Kursk region.
Attacks were carried out against ammunition depots and logistics centers in Belolutsk (Luhansk region), Boykovske (Donetsk region) and Zaporizhzhia region. Command posts in Lysychansk and drone control centers were also hit.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that during the night and morning of April 25, it shot down a total of 127 Ukrainian drones over various regions.
These attacks coincided with a massive Russian airstrike against Ukraine (over 660 drones and missiles), mainly targeting the city of Dnipro.
